Massive blizzard to impact the Northeast U.S.!

The largest winter storm event of 2012-2013 is underway, and locations from New York City to Maine are bracing for conditions that could ultimately result in record snow totals for some areas. Tropical storm-force winds with gusts anticipated to be in excess of 50 MPH in combination with heavy, 2-3 inch per-hour snowfall rates will result in blizzard conditions, and needless to say, will bring a significant threat for power outages and make driving extremely treacherous; in Massachusetts, the governor has declared a state of emergency, and has issued a ban on all non-essential travel beginning this afternoon. We encourage residents or those with interests in the northeast to keep up with the latest information by monitoring local media and local National Weather Service offices. Reed will also be posting frequently on the event on Facebook and Twitter, as well as updating with bulletins at TVNweather.com. ]]> View the Original article The post Massive blizzard to impact the Northeast
