Hurricane Sandy, as of this writing, has been responsible for at least 88 US deaths, along with 43 in the Caribbean, making it the 4th deadliest hurricane in US history. It also left millions of people without power and the damage will be in the billions. Sandy was a very unique storm, making landfall as a category 1 hurricane and then became a post-tropical storm, bringing blizzard conditions to the Appalachian mountains and surrounding areas, with up to 3 feet of snow in some locations! She made landfall Monday evening, very close to Atlantic City, where major damage occurred along the Jersey Shore.TVN covered both facets of the "superstorm" with a team of Dave Holder, Mike Scantlin, Chad Cowan and Blake Knapp covering the hurricane in NYC, where massive flooding occurred along the coastal waters, and where a major fire erupted in Queens late Monday night. Reed Timmer and Connor McCrorey covered the blizzard part of the storm, streaming live video and documenting massive snowfall amounts from Elkins, West Virginia! Check out both videos up, below!
